Cinderella Season Ends for JETS, 30-10
The New York Jets Super Bowl dreams ended in Oakland as the Jets fell to the Raiders, 30-10 Sunday in the NFL's Second Divisional Round. And on this day, the Jets were not going to make any great comeback. The team that had started 2-5, but won the AFC East with a 9-7 record, had finally run out of miracle finishes. They got no slipper, juss a long ride home. If one comes to a place like Network Associates Coliseum and is going to play a team like the Raiders, one has to play a near perfect game to win. Unfortunately for the Jets, they turned the ball over four times, were committed to penalties, and made too many mental errors in defeat. Quarterback Chad Pennington suffered through his toughest game this season, repeatedly getting knocked around and turning the ball over three times.

In the last 53 weeks, the Jets have lost three of four games in the Black Hole. New York's 2001-02 season also ended a year ago, at the hands of the Silver and Black. Oakland played like the number one seed they are and will host the Tennessee Titans next weekend with a Super Bowl chance at stake. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Pacific at Network Associates Coliseum in Oakland.

Chiefs playoffs wash away, 24-0
The Raiders defeated the Kansas City Chiefs at Network Associates Coliseum with a silp and slid win of 24 -0, despite a hugh rain storm, they clinched homefield advantage throughout the AFC playoffs and a first round bye. Safety Rod Woodson intercepted his NFL-leading 8th pass of the season, which makes him 3rd in nfl all time career interceptions with 69 through out his nfl career. Also Zack Crockett made his career long run of 33-yards. Raiders shutout of the Kansas City Chiefs has not been achieved by no other team since September 25th, 1994, by the L.A. Rams at a sad shutout at home for the Chiefs. This was the Raiders first ever shutout of the Chiefs.

Raiders Dominate Chargers 27-7
It seems like every time the Oakland Raiders and the San Diego Chargers match up, something important is on the line. Well, the Raiders QB Rich Gannon broke a single-season NFL record with his 10th 300-yard passing game of the season as the Silver & Black took command of the AFC West with a hard-fought 27-7 victory over the San Diego Chargers. The Raiders are now all alone in first place in the AFC West.

The Raiders travel to Miami next weekend to do battle with the Dolphins at Pro Player Stadium.
